International Space Station assignment

Launched in November of 1998 the international Space Station is a spacecraft that orbits around Earth. The countries that have been there are the United States, UK, Japan, Russia, South Korea, Brazil, Sweden, Italy, and Malaysia. the ISS orbits the Earth at an altitude of about 220 miles and travels at 17,500 mph. The space station is there so they can see what happens to your body when your in microgravity. they also are there to study space.
